Rebekah began dancing ballet at age 4 in her hometown of Charlotte, NC. After receiving her high school diploma from UNCSA, she returned as a college student in the contemporary program. Her favorite roles were Alonzo Kings “Water Paper,” Ethan Stiefels “Arabian,” Twyla Tharps “Country Dances,” and the oboe soloist role in Jerome Robbins “Fanfare.”
She moved to Rotterdam, Netherlands to finish her studies at Codarts University of the Arts. During that time, she toured nationally with her class performing the TOTM showcase. She danced with Lonneke Van Leth Productions in Den Haag, performing the lead role of Odette in the production of “Het Zwanenemeer.”
Since receiving her BFA, Rebekah has been involved in freelance work across the USA. She has performed with Mark Dendy Dance in Lincoln Center Out of Doors Festival, as well as Helen Simoneau’s “Paper Wings.”
Rebekah has spent summers training at Jacob’s Pillow, Nederland’s Dance Theatre, Alonzo King LINES, and Boston Ballet. She has performed works by Jiri Kylian, Paul Lightfoot, Sol Leon, George Balanchine, and Jose Limon.
Rebekah has also taught and choreographed for the Wake Forest University dance program.
