Dance Classes for Kids
Is your child interested in dance classes? At Dancers Edge, we offer diverse technical training for kids of all ages! Help your child pursue their love of dance at an early age with our fun and encouraging dance classes for kids.
We offer fun combination classes for our youngest dancers (ages 2 through 6) to explore and discover their love of dance! Combo dance classes for kids feature basic technique instruction in ballet, tap, and tumbling. We incorporate creative props and movement, parachutes, and more to promote coordination and balance.
Kids ages 6 and up can enroll in hip hop, jazz, tap, ballet and more!
We also offer private lessons so your child can enjoy the one-on-one attention they need to advance their dance skills. Private lessons are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. There is always a waiting list for private lessons, so please be certain to put in your request early!
For the Love of Dance
Whether your child is a beginner or working toward competitive dance teams, they’ll love working with Dancers Edge! Our experienced instructors are hand selected from the top names in the industry, but most of all they’re here because they love to dance and share their techniques with others.
We provide a welcoming, encouraging environment where your child will be able to develop their dancing skills, as well as a positive body image and healthy, respectful habits for both body and mind.
Parents love our positive environment, top of the line facilities and organized environment. When you enroll, you’ll gain access to a member’s only website that will keep you up to date on your child’s schedule.
Our Facilities
We have two facilities to choose from, totaling 20,000 square feet! Our dance studios are located in Winston-Salem and Kernersville. Each offers a variety of dance classes for kids, and our Kernersville location even offers acro and tumbling classes!
Winston-Salem Dance Studio: At our Winston-Salem dance studio you’ll be able to enjoy our 9,000 square foot facility with four dance rooms. We also offer a community ballet program for ages 7-18 based out of our Winston location www.edgeperformingarts.net.
Kernersville Dance Studio: Our dance studios in Kernersville feature an 11,000 square foot facility with three dance rooms. Plus, your dancer will love the full-size tumbling gym, complete with a sprung floor, foam pit, and tumble track.
In both facilities, classrooms have a camera connected to a TV monitor in the lobby so you can observe your dancer’s progress monthly, and your child can enjoy their dance lessons free from distractions!
Our dance classes for kids fill up quickly, so be sure to enroll as early as possible! Waiting lists are available, and we also offer a variety of summer classes, workshops, and dance clinics.
