Shannon Rogers

Shannon has grown up performing in competitive dance studios since she could walk. In her younger years, she studied jazz, contemporary, tap, ballet, and hip hop. In 2012, she achieved her competitive dance dream of winning first overall and highest score of the day with her tap solo at an Applause Nationals Talent Competition.

In 2013, she performed in the Charlotte Dance Festival and danced in the Detroit Dance Festival the following year. Since then, she’s studying dance at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro to receive her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Performance and Choreography. She is training in Cunningham and Safety/Release modern techniques, jazz, ballet, tap, African dance, and choreographic processes, as well as somatics and arts administration.

She has also continued her pursuit of giving back through her work at community outreach programs, where she gives dance classes to many children that might not normally have that opportunity.
