Alyssa Verdino

Alyssa is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and started in the dance industry at the age of 5. By the time she graduated High School she had not only received many regional and National dance titles and overalls – she had begun teaching and doing choreography as well. Alyssa’s success as a teacher was almost immediate, at 19 one of her students won nationals with her choreography. Since then Alyssa has won many choreography awards and has led her students to many national titles. After competing and partaking in conventions most of her life, she continued her dance education and received her B.A. in Dance from the University of Akron (OH). While still a senior in college, Alyssa became a member of her first professional company, Versatile dance Company (contemporary/tap/jazz) and performed with them until she graduated college. Quickly after graduating, Alyssa decided to relocate to New York City to continue her training and become both a better dancer and choreographer. While in New York Alyssa trained with many of today’s best teachers and found work not only as a dancer but choreographer for music videos. While she loved New York and all it had to offer, her passion for teaching and doing choreography led her back home to Cleveland.

Alyssa now spends her time teaching her own students during the week and traveling on the weekends to do either master classes, choreography, or judge competitions. Nothing is more satisfying to her than to spend her time with people who are as passionate about dance as she is!

We are so excited Alyssa is joining our DE family!!
