Dale Lam is one of the most respected names in the dance industry.
"There’s so much more to being a great dancer than just'learning the steps," she says.
"There’s also an emotional element that must be taken into consideration if you wish
to give an outstanding performance.”
Dale’s extensive training includes greats like Frank Hatchett, Mia Michaels, Desiree
Robbins,
Robin Dunn, Ed Kresley and Joe Tremaine – just to name a few. She has
performed for the King of Norway, was a principal in “Hooray for Hollywood,” and has
performed with Southeastern Theatre's Summer Repertory and more than 30 other
live theatre productions and shows. Dale’s exciting and upbeat teaching style - combining
traditional jazz, ballet, ethnic, street, modern and natural movement - are a favorite
everywhere she goes.
Dale is a key part of the Columbia City Jazz Company in South Carolina, and is a member
of the dance faculty at the University of South Carolina. She has set choreography to and
taught master classes for studios across the country. Her expertise is not limited to
the US; Dale has also taught in other countries, including Bulgaria and Singapore.
Dancers Edge is excited to team up with Dale on a number of our dance ventures!
