Technique
-- Technique second to none! Dancers Edge provides a solid program of technique in all major genres by some of the best instructors in the industry. Our REGULAR WEEKLY teaching staff rivals that of most Dance Conventions currently touring the country! Dancers on competition teams get weekly training in lyrical, tap, jazz, ballet, tumbling, hip hop, leaps & turns, conditioning and more … creating well-rounded dancers.
Staff
-- The best instructors! Our instructors are highly skilled professionals in their genre. All instructors are working professionals who are current on the latest trends and techniques. We encourage you to research our teaching staff, and you will find that all of our instructors are the best available in the area … and beyond! And, these instructors are working with our teams on a REGULAR, WEEKLY basis, not just for choreography or occasionally. Click HERE to see our STAFF page.
Choreographers
-- A choreography team of the best of the best! Dancers Edge continually works to provide nationally recognized and award winning choreographers for workshops and choreography for our dancers. Justin Mann, David Mann, Sam Jones, Dennis Caspary, Kentrell Newton, Juel Lane, Jason Cabacungan, Trent Dickens, Eddie Garcia, Dale Lam, Dena Rizzo, Marvin Millora,
Allen Cooper, Lindsey Bramham, Tiffany Hilliard, Sarah Ford, JC Renzetti (Xtreme Dance Force) Alvin Ramirez, Ian Sherman, and Cathy-Lee Hambright are just a few of the names you will recognize!
Success
-- Dancers Edge teams have consistently set the bar in the competition industry. Our teams are some of the most award winning teams in the State. In just two years in the competitive dance world Dancers Edge has been recognized by Dancer Magazine, the Federation of Dance Competitions, and Dance Stage as well as Showstopper, Applause, NexStar, Hall of Fame, Encore and State Dance Championships as some of the best in the industry.
Teamwork
-- A solid team environment! Dancers Edge prides itself on a positive environment with emphasis on teamwork. All dancers are given the same opportunities regardless of age or level, or when the enter our program. Much time and consideration is given to placement of dancers for their overall well being, not just that of the studio.
Flexibility
-- A place for everyone! Dancers Edge offers recreational and competitive level teams to allow dancers (and parents) choices that fit their personal life and schedules. All competition routines – recreational and competitive – attend the same competitions and teammates work together to encourage and cheer each other on!
Organization
-- An organized, professional atmosphere. All details and information (including ALL fees) are outlined and provided up front, and are consistent. That way parents know exactly what to expect and when … no surprises!
Atmosphere
-- A family atmosphere. We are asked so frequently how we deal with “problem” parents or “diva” dancers … and we are not sure exactly how to answer those questions! Perhaps it's because of the consistency, structure, and professionalism at our studio, but we are happy to say that have not experienced ongoing problems with these issues!
Sportsmanship
-- Good sportsmanship. Dancers Edge promotes an environment of good sportsmanship both within our studio and beyond. Our team dancers are encouraged to support each other and appreciate the hard work other dancers put into the art of dance by complimenting at least two other dancers from outside our studio every day they are at a competition. In doing so, our dancers have formed lasting bonds and friendships with dancers and studios across the country and learned valuable life lessons in respect and sportsmanship!
Philosophy
-- Our philosophy... dancers at Dancers Edge, whether with our Competitive Team or attending regular classes - are taught that dance is an expression, an art form. We do not teach our dancers how to perform a routine or push them to win … our love of the art of dance goes well beyond that. While our teams have consistently done well, it is not from pressure from the staff to perform to a certain level, but rather encouragement to do THEIR best! Combine that with all of the elements we have listed here and you have a positive, rewarding atmosphere where children LOVE TO DANCE! That is more important to us than any award or recognition we could achieve... after all, we're not just teaching dance, we're creating memories that last a lifetime, and helping mold the future of every young person in our life!
