Wow! Is the only way to describe the 2009 competition season for Dancers Edge competition teams. Recreational and competitive level teams once again set the pace in the competition world with a phenomenal 70 Overall 1st place finishes and 91 other Top 5 Overall Wins - just in their regular season! In addition, Edge competition teams won 11 National Championship titles, and had 21 other top 10 National finishes at Applause National Dance Championships, as well as the Highest Score of the Day two days. WOW!

In addition:

- Dancers Edge teams won more State Championship titles that any other studio in the state of NC in 2009. - "My Immortal" was featured in Dancer Magazine's Year in Review, where Dancers Edge was recognized as the studio with the Best Technique in the Nation. - Dancers Edge had the highest scoring routine at all four of it's regularly schedule regional and state competitions, and had the top two scoring routines at three of those. - Dancers Edge routines were selected by Showstopper, Applause, and Hall of Fame to appear on their respective websites as some of the best routines of the season. - Dancers Edge was nominated as a Future Stars of America entry on DanceStage.com. - Dancers Edge won the Judges Choice Award for "The Tide" at Applause Talent, and the studio directors will be flown to Las Vegas in August, 2009 for a special awards presentation by the Federation of Dance Competitions. - Dancers Edge students have received scholarships to train in New York, Detroit, California, and many other amazing cities in 2009! - In August, 2009 Dancers Edge was selected to receive the 2009 Best of Winston-Salem Award in the Dance Studio & School category by the US Commerce Association for their exceptional success in the local community and as a company that enhances the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.

Most importantly, this season we are proud to announce that every single competition team dancer - whether recreational or competitive - won at least one Overall 1st Place award. This speaks volumes to the teamwork and dedication of the dancer, the support of the parents, and the talent and hard work of the Dancers Edge staff!
